ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
SPORTS
Golf Club
This club may be used as practice
for the CIS golf team. This club will aid students in learning the game of
golf at various skill levels so that students may compete or merely enjoy
the game. Minimum is 3 Maximum is 15.
Tennis Club (beginners):
Coach Stuck was the Head Tennis
coach at the Semang International School in Indonesia and is well known for
developing children and improving their tennis skills. Students may join as
beginners or the coach may teach a 2nd level club based on skill
levels.
Tennis club (intermediate and
advanced):
Come and improve your stroke and
overall game with your friends.
Wall Climbing
Learn the techniques and skill of
rock climbing in a safe environment. Come and challenge yourself to the many
routes.
Swimming Club
Younger students are invited to
join swim club and have fun getting familiar and comfortable in the water.
Students will play games and learn the pool rules, safety and courtesies
while learning strokes and gaining confidence in the water. While older children will
play and practice strokes. Learn water polo and other fun sports. This
club may be used by swimmers wishing to join the swim team.
Basketball Club/ Team
Learn and practice Basketball in a
stress free fun environment. This club may be used to make teams should
there be a tournament (i.e.. Inter-Island).
Soccer Club
This is a learning/ developmental
fun club. Learn and practice soccer in a stress free fun environment.
This club can be used as a stepping stone to soccer teams or used just for
exercise and fun.
ARTS, MUSIC, LITERATURE and
OTHERS
Art Club
This club provides opportunity for
creativity. Students will experiment, experience and explore different art
forms and materials.
Arts and Crafts Club
This club can be used for children
to enhance their creativity through different arts & craft activities.
Guitar for Beginners
Learn how to play guitar with
formal classical techniques.
Piano Lessons
Learn to play piano! You will be
taught using various methods and techniques depending on your skill level.
Flute Lessons Learn to play
flute! You will be taught using various methods of teaching techniques
depending on your skill level. This club is good for beginners to advanced.
Violin Club
Learn to play the violin. You will
be taught using different methods of teaching including the Suzuki
Technique, depending on your level. This club is good for beginners to
advanced students.
Glee Club
Enjoy singing with a group and
learn to sing according to your voice qualities. Every child in the club
will be taught how to read notes and sing choir pieces.
Happy Feet Tap Dance Club
Learn to tap dance, get some
exercise while having fun!
Literary Circle
Literary Circle welcomes you to a
world of poetry, reader’s theater, riddles, tongue twisters and language
games. A fun and exciting way to hone your language skills.
Little Chef’s Club
Little Chef’s Club intends to
teach children the basic knowledge of baking cookies, cakes, pizza, etc. and
cooking simple recipes.
Board Games Club
If you want to challenge your
mind, increase your vocabulary, practice fair play, or all of the above….

ACADEMIC and OTHERS
Penmanship Club
This club will help you develop
and improve your handwriting. Having neat and correct penmanship is our
goal. We will learn and have fun in Penmanship club!
Science Explorations Club
Science Exploration club is all
about doing fun science activities and experiments. These will surely
develop the skills and knowledge of students so that they love science. Join
now and let’s put your inquisitive mind to work!
Young Scientist Club
Do fun experiments and learn the
basics of science and the scientific process.
Study Group Club
This is a great place to wait for
an older sibling or those who need a place to finish their homework. A
teacher will be provided to supervise and help out if needed.
Chess Club/ Intermediate/
Advanced
This term the club will be limited
to 10 students whose skills are either advanced or intermediate. We are
working towards making a CIS Chess team. Club members will be taught to read
and record moves and use a chess clock. Further, they will be taught chess
tactics and strategies.
Word Games Club
Kids will have fun playing
Jumpstart Spelling, Word Factory, Word Searches and Crossword puzzles while
polishing their spelling and vocabulary skills.

ISAC Boy’s Basketball (M/HS):
Trying out for the ISAC team does
not guarantee a spot on the final team. The ISAC team will participate in
the CIS area Mini-league and the ISAC tournament. Players are expected to
attend all practices.

stress free fun environment. This club can be used as a stepping stone to
soccer teams or used just for exercise and fun.
Ping Pong Club
Practice or learn the basics of
table tennis. Students will be assessed and will play against students at
their own levels.
Fencing Club
Engage in a unique, challenging
and growing competitive sport while developing hand-eye coordination, poise
and balance.
Swimming Club
Play and practice your strokes.
Learn water polo and other fun sports .This club may be used by swimmers
wishing to join the swim team.

Hap Kido
The Korean martial art developed
for the Royal Family and their guards. Since the Second World War Hap Kido
has spread to the Korean Police and has become increasingly popular around
the world. A defensive art using pressure points and joint manipulation to
subdue your opponent. Further, in Hap Kido you will learn kicks and weaponry
and how to use them to defend yourself against attack.
Rollerblade Club
Participants will learn to “inline
skate” for fun or with the intention of participating in inline hockey. Due
to the nature of the activity participants must provide their own equipment,
including: skates, elbow and knee pads, a helmet and wrist guards (all
available locally).

Advanced Drawing and Painting
Advanced drawing and painting is
for those who have basic skills and wish to improve through practice and
discipline. You will use different drawing and painting media in making
landscape, still-life, and “scaled-up” large paintings.
Pop/ Jazz Club
Play pop and jazz pieces as a
band. Preferably for those who cab read music. Audition may be required.
Rock Band Club
Play rock pieces as a band
following the rock repertoire from early to modern periods. Preferably for
those who can already read music. Auditions might be required.
Violin Club
Learn to play the violin. You will
be taught using different methods of teaching including the Suzuki
Technique, depending on your level. This club is good for beginners to
advanced students.
Hip Hop Dance Club
If you are looking for a venue to
express yourself through dance, this club might be for you! It’s a great way
to meet friends and have fun. Great exercise too!
Karaoke Club
Students will get to sing their
favorite songs on videoke. They also get to practice their vocals and build
their own repertoire. Sign up and have fun singing!
Cooking Club
This club provides opportunity for
the students to apply principles in preparing, cooking, and serving foods.
You will need to bring an apron.
Ikebana Club
Learn the basics of IKEBANA, the
Japanese art of flower arrangement. The term Ikebana literally means
“flowers kept alive”. There are many styles depending on the vase and plants
used. Students will get to make their own flower arrangements following the
principals taught in Ikebana. An exhibition of the students’ masterpieces
will be the culminating activity for this semester. Sign up and learn

Learn how to design your own
website and get hooked with the online services the internet has to offer.
Tutorial Club
Come learn while you tutor and
support local students from Pit-os National High School. Some days this club
will be held at Pit-os NHS so parents need to be aware the CIS students may
be leaving campus.
Theological Philosophy Club
Theology can be defined as “the
rational and systematic study of religion and its influences and of the
nature of religious truth…; rational inquiry into religious questions”
Metaphysical Philosophy,
especially epistemological study (”a branch of philosophy that investigates
the origin, nature, methods, and limits of human knowledge”), will guide the
book studies and discussions groups so that students may explore various
religions and their historical and contemporary affects on the world.
Chess Club
Be a Chess Wiz! Join the ultimate
battle of the brain every Friday. Learn to play and have fun with chess.
