Dear Students and Parents,
This semester we will have many of the returning favorites and even some new and, hopefully, equally exciting clubs.
NB: CLUBS are mandatory from Grade 1 to Grade 12. It is part of the PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS at CIS. Please refer to theStudent Parent Handbook for more information on this.
RESPONSIBILITY and ATTENDANCE - If students sign up for a Club, and they are at school that day, they must fulfil their commitment and attend the Club. Attendance will be taken. Students with three unexcused absences will be removed from the Club - this could impact on their promotion to the next grade level in the next school year.
THERE WILL BE NO WITHDRAWALS ALLOWED, FROM ANY CLUBS & ACTIVITIES, FOR THE SEMESTER, EXCEPT IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES & ONLY WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE ATHLETICS DIRECTOR and PRINCIPAL. It is up to the school whether to grant a full or partial refund, depending on the circumstances. Cancelled Club and Activities will be refunded upon the advice of the Athletics Director/Principal to the Cashier.
Please remember, some Clubs are very popular - priority is given to those students who submit their forms first. All forms will be dated on receipt.
Some of the clubs have a fee associated with them. For these, the place in the Club will only be confirmed once payment is made.
CIS will accept payments starting August 2 through August 10, 2010, to the CIS Cashier between 7:15AM – 3:00PM.
